കേരളത്തിലെ പ്രധാന അണലി വർഗ്ഗങ്ങൾ  നമുക്ക് കേരളത്തിൽ അണലി കുടുംബത്തിൽ (viperidae) ആകെ 7 ഇനം പാമ്പുകൾ ആണ് ഉള്ളത്. Viperinae എന്ന ഉപ കുടുംബത്തിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്ന 2 ഇനം true vipers ഉം 1)russells viper (അണലി) 2)saw scaled viper (ചുരുട്ട മണ്ഡലി) Crotalinae ഉപകുടുംബത്തിൽ 5 ഇനം pit vipers ഉം ആണ് ഇവിടെ ഉള്ളത്. 1)hump nosed pit viper മുഴമൂക്കൻ കുഴി മണ്ഡലി 2) malabar pit viper ചോല മണ്ഡലി 3) large scaled pit viper ചട്ടിത്തലയൻ കുഴി മണ്ഡലി 4)bamboo pit viper മുള മണ്ഡലി 5) horseshoe pit viper ലാട മണ്ഡലി. എന്നിവയാണ് അവ.. ഇതിൽ അണലി, ചുരുട്ട മണ്ഡലി, മുഴമൂക്കൻ കുഴി മണ്ഡലി എന്നിവ മനുഷ്യ മരണത്തിന് കാരണം ആയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ചോല മണ്ഡലി നിലവിൽ സംശയത്തിന്റെ നിഴലിൽ ആണ്. Russells viper ആണ് ഏറ്റവും അപകടകരിയും വളരെ common ആയി കാണുന്നതും. Russells viper, saw scaled കടിയേറ്റൽ antivenom ലഭ്യമാണ്, pit vipers ന്റെ കടിയേറ്റൽ antivenom ഇല്ലെങ്കിലും ചികിൽസ ലഭ്യമാണ്. രക്ത അണലി  അഥവാ  ചുരുട്ടമണ്ഡലി ചുരുട്ടമണ്ഡലി അണലിവർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ പെട്ട ഒരു വിഷപ്പാമ്പാണ്
